2nd & 3rd Dan Gradings
Fri 9th Nov was a busy day for Sensei Helen and Graeme! Not only was there the fundrasining ceilidh on in the evening but Helen sat her 2nd Dan grading and Graeme his 3rd in the afternoon.
Robert Smith and Rasmus Moeller travelled up from Dundee to assess them on a gruelling 2hr session. Unlike 1st Dan, this grading was more about understanding our Martial Arts and explaining our theories on self protection as well as demonstrating their fitness, strength etc.
Both Robert and Rasmus gave Helen and Graeme a glowing report and complimented them highly on their achievements to date as well as their performance on the day.
Congratulations to them both and please make sure you congratulate them too!

WAKO Scottish Championships
Holy Toot! On sunday 30th Sept Team Wright Fitness travelled down to Perth to the first ever WAKO Scottish Championships. For some of the team it was their first ever competition but you would never have known as they were so confident and fought to very high standard against people that have been competiting for longer! We are yet to compile the final trophy list but Team Wright Fitness came back with a lot of new silver/gold wear!
Even Sensei Graeme led the way by entering the Full Contact section.... at the last minute! WOW!!!! For someone who did very little preparation for the fight, he was awesome! Make sure you ask all the people who watched. He brought the whole tournament to a stand still so they could rally round and support him, everyone was shouting for Graeme! He has already been asked to fight in Birmingham and with some training this time, just think how fantastic Sensei Graeme will be!
Please make sure you congratulate everyone who attended and look out for their picture in the local papers.
